Why The Butterfly Effect?

The term “butterfly effect” is related to the work of Edward Lorenz and the hypothesis that the beat of a butterfly’s wings may cause a hurricane on distant shore.

Our hypothesis is more positive; we believe that if this facility influenced just a few people, who in turn converted others to help care for our natural world, then in time this would be multiplied a thousand fold to make a real difference for the better to the world we bequeath to our children and grandchildren.

And of course, we will have butterflies! We are looking for partners for this project, people who are committed environmentalists, and are passionate about bringing the natural world to a wider and younger generation, people with boundless energy and enthusiasm, who don’t mind long working hours and have good business sense and organizational skills!

The people we are looking for do not have to be graduate botanists or zoologists but must have a commitment to inspiring others to see the value and beauty of the natural world and the desire to be part of conserving it.
